Queasy stomaches sometimes do well with fresh fruits. Try oranges and strawberries, although they are acidic some people don’t have problems with them. If you can eat them they are full of vitamins and foliate. Bananas are another option to try. They are high in foliate and potassium, both of which are definately needed by your body when pregnant. If you can’t quite stomach the idea of a burger and need protein, reach for yogurt. Yogert is not only high in proteins but it also has probiotics in it. Probiotics have been noted to assist in reducing the risk of yeast infections and also assist in your immune system health. Another thing you can eat is a fortified hot cereal such as Malt-o-meal. Just getting down a serving of Malt-o-meal will give you good start on your daily requred amount of protein, iron, and foliate. Lentils are also a mild tasting food to consider. Lentils are high in protein, iron, and fiber, which are all things that a pregnant woman desperately need. Another great mildly flavored food to try is Quinoa. It has a very subtle nutty flavor, and is hich in protein and iron. With just a bit of brown sugar and a hand full of raisins, quinoa can make a very nice hot breakfast. You can get large amounts of fiber and iron from figs. Sweeter fruits can sometimes stay down more easily. A hand full of nuts can also be an easy small snack that carries some decent nutrition. These are high fiber and have some great omega fatty acids in them. There is no question that it is important for any mother to be to eat as well as they can during pregnancy. When nothing is sitting well on your stomach it is hard to eat well. Try different foods from the suggestions above.
