Winning Big on Beezid »

A lot of people see the ads for penny auction sites and imagine that this is a veritable gold mine that they can jump into and immediately enjoy success (after all – they think – it would sure be great to buy something such as a $500 iPad for only $5!), but one thing you need to realize before you commit to auctions on a penny auction site is that the website is making lots of money as well, and the way they do this is by scoring big off people who are wasting the bids they have bought!

If you want to win big on Beezid, the first thing you will have to do is start small; too many people enter into auctions for big items with no real understanding of how these auctions work, and because of this, they end up donating their bids and coming away with nothing; until you have gotten to a place where you are consistently winning auctions for smaller items – and until you have gotten to a place where you have thousands of bids waiting to be used – you should not get tangled up in auctions for big items!

As you grow your knowledge on a site such as Beezid, you will also want to watch others enough to know who you can push around and who you should avoid, as this will help you to gain a reputation of someone others should avoid; once you have built this reputation, you will win a lot more bids (for a lot less!), because the other big players will be happy to avoid you in the same way you avoid them, and the smaller players will back out of auctions more quickly when they realize who they are up against!

And finally, realize that there are certain times of day when it is better to use your bids; late at night, and during peak travel hours, you are going to run into a lot less competition, and it will be easier to pull down some big wins on big items.

Make sure you are protecting yourself on Beezid by starting small – and soon, you will be able to grow what you are doing until you are making more and more purchases for low dollar amounts!

How To Become A Better Public Speaker »

Many people claim to be “afraid” of public speaking, but these people fail to realize that they are not so much frightened by public speaking itself as they are frightened by the unknown; if you have a situation coming up in which you will have to do some public speaking (either a presentation for work, a speech at a wedding, or just about anything else that requires you to stand in front of lots of people and give a prepared speech), you should know that it is actually quite easy to speak in front of people – as long as you know how to be a better public speaker!

When it comes to public speaking, one of the big things you want to realize is that silence is a powerful tool, and you can use it to your advantage; understand the “power of pause,” as pausing will give people a moment to chew on what you just said, and will give you a moment to compose yourself before you continue forward.

Another thing that is important is that you make an impact with the beginning of your speech; there is nothing worse than standing in front of a group of people and realizing that you have lost their attention, but when you lead off with something that is attention-grabbing and worth their time to listen (that is, not starting with pleasantries or with introducing yourself, but connecting with the audience right way), you will find that it is much easier for you to keep their attention throughout the duration of your speech.

And as you prepare for your speech, you will want to ask yourself the question “what’s my point,” as too many people stand up to speak in front of a group of people and try to hit on lots of different points, which leaves their audience remembering none, but when you have a single point and you stick with that point throughout your entire speech, you will be far more likely to make an impact on your audience’s thinking.

And of course, the best thing of all you can do in order to prepare for public speaking is to practice, practice, practice; the more you practice, the less “new” it will be when you have to stand up to speak, and the more comfortable you will feel!
